Are you considering operating a business in Lafayette?  Businesses within the city limits of Lafayette must obtain a city business license, in accord with Lafayette Municipal Code Chapter 7. If your business office is located outside the city limits and you only do business occasionally in Lafayette, you do not need a city business license.  A Business License does not imply City approval or endorsement of the business or its location.

Persons wishing to solicit goods and/or services in Lafayette must obtain a solicitor's license, in accord with Lafayette Municipal Code Chapter 7.3.

Application forms for a city business license or solicitor's license may also be obtained at Lafayette City Hall.  There is a $10.00 annual fee for business licenses.  Lafayette City Hall is located on the main thoroughfare:
