Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department

Mission Statement:

The Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to the protection of life, property and our community.

We strive to provide reliable, professional service in Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services.

We base this on a foundation of courage, compassion, excellence, integrity, discipline and teamwork.

We build on this with a commitment for improvement through innovation, education, and vigilance.

The Lafayette Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to the community of Lafayette, as well as the rural area in it's proximity.  The Fire Department shares facilities with Lafayette City Hall, located at 486 Third Street.  It is supported by a volunteer staff and is supervised by Fire Chief Terry Lucich.

The current equipment compliment is two engines and one rescue unit.
