Public Works
The
Public Works Department provides a combination of services to the residents
of Lafayette.
The department's responsibilities include, but
are not limited to, street sign installation, repair, and replacement; the
cleaning and repair of catch basins and storm ditches; the installation,
repair and replacement of water mains, service lines, and water meters;
meter reading; the cleaning, inspection, repair and replacement of the
wastewater collection piping and manholes; providing locates for public
utilities; the maintenance and repair of city vehicles and equipment; and
maintenance of city facilities and public right-of-ways.
