The City of Lafayette contracts for law enforcement services with the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.

Yamhill County Emergency Management educates County residents in the mitigation of, preparedness for, response to and recovery from all hazards either natural or manmade.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.
