NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WATER RESTRICTION Effective January 6th to January 11th

Please be advised that the construction of our new 1-million-gallon water reservoir project is nearing completion. A voluntary water restriction will be implemented from January 6th to January 11th.

Why the Restriction?
To ensure the safety and quality of our water supply, we must thoroughly clean and disinfect the new reservoir before it can be brought online. This process requires time and large volumes of water to complete effectively. Voluntarily restricting the use of water collectively will help the speed of completion and will maintain adequate reserves of water for essential and emergency uses.
How You Can Help:
We kindly request your cooperation in conserving water during this period.  Your voluntary efforts will help us maintain our water supply for essential and emergency uses during the startup of the new reservoir and ensure the long-term health of our community.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Please consider the following water-saving tips:
  • Fix leaky faucets and toilets promptly.
  • Take shorter showers.
  • Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.
  • Run your dishwasher and washing machine only with full loads.
  • Place a small, filled water bottle in the back of toilets to reduce the volume of water used for each flush.
  • Delay non-essential uses of water to the following week such as car washing, irrigation, pressure washing, bathing pets, etc.
Customers may notice a slight, temporary, change in the taste and smell of tap water as the new reservoir settles into the water system after the disinfection period. Please be ensured that all proper water quality testing will be thoroughly conducted, and that your water will remain safe to drink and use normally.
