Notice in change of services at McMinnville Recovery Zone - Styrofoam Recycling

Via Recology- Western Oregon

Recology Recovery Zone at the McMinnville transfer station will no longer accept expanded polystyrene block packaging foam (aka Styrofoam) for recycling. We recently learned of changes at Agilyx in Tigard and that they would be closing their facility. Today they notified us that they will no longer accept EPS effective immediately.

Because of this, Recology has stopped accepting that material at our facility as we have no other markets for this material at this time. We will be posting notices on our Recology Western Oregon website as well as on our Facebook page. We have placed signs at the McMinnville Recovery Zone informing customers that we can no longer accept that material.  Our team will research other market options but until a new market is identified, we cannot accept the material for recycling from residents or from businesses.

We understand that this will be frustrating for many customers in the area. We will do our best to find a new market as quickly as possible and keep you posted.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
