Mayor and Council

The Lafayette City Council is composed of a mayor and six councilors. The councilors serve for a term of four years, and the mayor serves for a term of two years. 

 

Regular Meetings

The City Council holds regular meetings on the second Thursdays of every month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.  The Council's meeting is streamed via YouTube, which can be accessed by this link: City of Lafayette YouTube Channel.  

  

Remote Attendance

If you wish to appear via Zoom to provide a comment for items that are not on the agenda, or possibly speak during an agenda item, you must contact City Hall by 4:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before a Council meeting.  You can reach staff via email at: admin@ci.lafayette.or.us or by calling City Hall at 503-864-2451.

 

Input from the Public

Every regular meeting of the Lafayette City Council contains an item called "Citizen Input on Non-Agenda Items" for comments about topics not on the agenda.  Comments may be limited to 3 minutes each at the discretion of the Mayor.
